1. Agreement to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS], Greece ("we", "us"), covering the Eaterr app and the eaterr.app website. By creating an account or using Eaterr you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of this agreement.

2. Who can use Eaterr

You must be at least 16 years old to use Eaterr. By using it you confirm that you are. If you are under 18, you should use Eaterr with the knowledge of a parent or guardian, and you should only cook with appropriate adult supervision.

If we learn that someone under 16 has created an account, we will close it and delete the data.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. You must give accurate information, and this matters most for allergies and dietary restrictions: the app uses exactly what you enter, so an incomplete or mistyped allergy means recipes will not exclude it.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account.

4. What Eaterr does

Eaterr uses AI to turn the ingredients and preferences you provide into recipes, cooking guidance, nutrition estimates and assistant answers. Features may include scanning ingredients with your camera, meal planning, shopping lists, cooking mode with timers, and nutrition tracking.

Eaterr is a cooking aid. It is not a medical, nutritional, dietetic or food-safety service, and nothing it produces is professional advice.

5. Subscriptions, trials and cancellation

Eaterr offers optional auto-renewing monthly subscriptions. Current plans and prices are shown in the app before you buy, and prices vary by country.

• Free trial. Where offered, your subscription begins with a free trial. At the end of the trial, the subscription renews automatically and your Apple ID is charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before each renewal.
• Cancelling. Manage or cancel in your device's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Trials and existing subscriptions. If you start a free trial while an existing subscription is active, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited.
• Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a problem was caused by Eaterr, contact us as well and we will help.
• Promotional access. We sometimes grant free access, for example a free week for people who signed up on our website. Promotional access is a gift, not a purchase. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred or refunded, and we may withdraw it if it is being abused.
• Price changes. If we change the price of an existing subscription, you will be notified and asked to agree before it applies to you, as required by Apple.
• One-time purchases. Besides subscriptions, Eaterr sells one-time credit packs and single recipe unlocks. These are consumable purchases: they do not renew, they are spent when you use them, and unused credits have no cash value and are not refunded when you delete your account. Like all purchases, payment and refunds are handled by Apple.

Fair use: AI features are metered according to your plan. We may throttle or suspend accounts that use the service abusively, for example through automation, resale, or attempts to extract the underlying models.

6. AI content, food safety and allergies

This section matters more than any other, so we are stating it plainly.

Recipes, cooking steps, times, temperatures, nutrition figures and assistant answers in Eaterr are generated by artificial intelligence. AI systems make mistakes. They can suggest unsafe cooking times, misjudge temperatures, produce inaccurate nutrition estimates, misidentify an ingredient in a photo, or fail to exclude something you are allergic to, even when you have entered it correctly.

You must use your own judgement. In particular:

• Allergies. Always read the labels on the actual products you are using. Never rely on Eaterr alone to keep an allergen out of your food. If you or anyone you cook for has a serious allergy, verify every ingredient yourself.
• Food safety. Check that meat, poultry, fish and eggs are properly cooked using a thermometer and official guidance, not our suggested times. Follow safe storage and reheating practice.
• Heat and tools. Cooking involves hot surfaces, boiling liquids, open flames and sharp knives. Take normal precautions, and do not leave children unsupervised in the kitchen.
• Health conditions. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or follow a diet for medical reasons, consult a qualified professional. Do not treat Eaterr's nutrition figures as clinically accurate.
• Ingredient scanning. Photo recognition is approximate. Always check what the app detected before cooking with it.

By using Eaterr you accept that you are responsible for deciding whether a recipe is safe and suitable for you and anyone you cook for.

7. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• Use Eaterr for anything unlawful, or to produce harmful or dangerous content
• Attempt to extract, reverse engineer or copy the underlying models or prompts
• Access the service through automated means, or resell access
• Interfere with the service, probe its security, or attempt to reach other users' data
• Upload content you have no right to upload

8. Content and ownership

The app itself, its design, branding and software belong to us.

Content you provide, including photos, notes and messages, remains yours. You grant us permission to process it only as far as needed to run the features you use, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Recipes generated for you are yours to cook, keep, adapt and share. We make no claim of ownership over them. Because they are AI-generated, we cannot promise they are unique, and similar recipes may be generated for other people.

9. Third-party services

Eaterr relies on third parties including Apple, our AI provider, our hosting and subscription providers, and public product databases. Their terms apply to their own services, and we are not responsible for their availability or content. The Privacy Policy lists who they are.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Eaterr running but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, change or remove features, and may set or adjust usage limits. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will tell you, and you may cancel.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Eaterr and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law, and we will normally warn you first unless the breach is serious. If we terminate your account without cause while you have paid for a period, we will refund the unused portion where the law requires it.

12. Disclaimers and liability

Eaterr is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, and we do not warrant that AI-generated content is accurate, complete or suitable for you.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits. Where we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty euros.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep all mandatory rights under the consumer law of your country, and nothing here overrides them.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Disputes may be brought before the competent courts of Greece. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your own country, and you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws that apply there. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Eaterr develops. The date at the top reflects the current version. We will announce material changes in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Eaterr after that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, you can stop using Eaterr and cancel any subscription.
